It’s been an amazing first year for Seen & Heard since launching our services in April 2024 to support the wellbeing of past and present pupils of boarding and independent day schools, and their families. An enormous thanks to everyone that spoke to us, worked with us, and visited us in 2024, you’re all fantastic!
We need your help and generosity to go further and support more individuals and families in 2025. You can read a bit more about what we’ve been doing in this post, and we are appealing for donations.
We are appealing for donations of just £5 per month, similar to a drink or cup of coffee in most places these days! With that gift you can help support all of the services below, and make a real difference to individuals and families. We have very low overheads, and a network of amazing advocates and volunteers. ALL the money raised goes directly to delivering frontline services, unlike many charities where management, advertising, premises and consultancy take up more than 50% of all money raised.

- We’ve supported nearly 150 people to find community and healing through our free Online Connection Groups – Read more and see testimonials.
- We’ve begun funding specialist therapy, coaching and supporting workshop attendance for individuals that cannot meet the cost of their care via our Funding Support Program.
- Nearly 2,000 people have come to the Seen & Heard website to get the latest news in this sector, find specialist therapist, counsellors and coaches, and to access our self-help & learning resource library, or our support and signposting services.
- We’ve joined Mandate Now, ACTONIICSA and IICSA changemakers to help campaign for improvements in legislation to protect young people, and support adult survivors of abuse.
- We’ve advocated for the support of ex-pupils, and improved wellbeing and welfare for current students of boarding and independent day schools with University Counselling Services, the Boarding Schools Association, Girls School Association, Heads Conference and many individual schools.
Once again a huge thanks to everyone that’s supported us, or worked with us so far. Here’s to an amazing 2025 together!
