Hours: Flexible – Minimum of 12 hours per week, worked as and when you want
Website: www.seenheard.org.uk

Are you passionate about raising awareness around emotional wellbeing and trauma recovery? Are you confident with tech, creative content, and connecting with people online? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About Us

Seen & Heard is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of past and present pupils of UK boarding and independent day schools—and their families. Our work addresses the often-overlooked emotional and psychological needs of those who, despite perceived privilege, carry deep and complex wounds from early school and life experiences, including neglect and abuse.

The Role

We are seeking a tech-savvy, creative and self-motivated Social Media & Podcast Manager to join us in a voluntary capacity. This is a flexible, home-based role with a minimum commitment of 12 hours per week initially, with the opportunity to grow the role to 24 hours per week. For the right person, this could become a paid, permanent position as the organisation continues to develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting with the editing, scheduling, and publishing of the Seen & Heard podcast
  • Liaising with existing and potential guests, helping to manage podcast bookings
  • Setting up and launching our social media presence (Instagram and Facebook)
  • Creating and posting regular, sensitive and engaging content aligned with our values
  • Supporting audience growth through consistent and thoughtful online communication

About You

We are ideally looking for someone who:

  • Understands the UK boarding and/or independent day school system—either through lived experience or that of close friends/family, or is empathetic to the unique experiences of those who suffered emotional harm or neglect in these settings
  • Has strong computer and tech skills, including podcast or social media tools
  • Is confident in creating content and communicating across digital platforms
  • Is aligned with trauma-informed values and is able to work sensitively and responsibly

Full training will be provided, and you will be supported every step of the way.
