After 7 years of investigation, The Independent Inquiry into Childhood Sexual Abuse (IICSA) published its final report 3 years ago, in October 2022. Hearing from 7,500 survivors and taking 2.5 million pages of evidence, it revealed how institutions often chose to protect their reputations instead of safeguarding children.
Three years after the inquiry ended, not one of the 20 recommendations has been delivered. In that time, an estimated 1.5 million children have been sexually abused; larger than the population of Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast combined.
That’s why The Survivors Trust are relaunching their campaign to demand that the Government acts. Funds raised will go towards campaign materials, events, and resources to keep public and political pressure alive.
The campaign is being relaunched to protect children and support survivors of child sexual abuse, and every donation makes a real difference in holding those in power accountable. Even a small contribution can push for the urgent reforms needed.
