An update from Piers Cross….
Good afternoon everyone,
I hope that you are all well.
Today I wanted to update you all about the film. I will share some of the most recent interviews we have done for the documentary and the final call for fundraising to complete the film.

Thank You for Your Help
First of all a big thank you to everyone who has signed up to be an ambassador for the film.
We can’t make this film without your support so having you help us spread the word is amazing.
And thank you to those who have agreed to watch the film and give us feedback. Again, that will be really helpful in gettting the best possible film out there. We will be in touch in the next few months once we have the final cut.
Film Update
So we are now coming to the end of the editing phase of the documentary, Boarding on Insanity.
Ben Cole, the director and editor, has done 9 or 10 edits now.
The film is almost there.
In August Ben and I interviewed 3 people – a second visit to Nick Duffell, the leading voice in boarding school survivors (see photo above); a historian, SI Martin who shared about the history of boarding schools and the link to slavery and a former boarder and CEO, Dan Perry.
Next week we will be going to Glastonbury to film the final pieces of the film – the introduction and conclusion.
We still have a lot of work to do but we feel that we might have a release date later on this year or early 2025.
Fundraising
Some of the pieces that we still need to do are creating a brilliant sound track – a music score in particular – and bringing the project to completion.
We are asking for support.
Can you help ?
Many of you helped us in our time of need by contributing to the Indiegogo fund.
You helped us raise about £8,000. Without that we wouldn’t be where we are now. Thank you
We think the same amount will get us over the finishing line……
Your donations will make it possible for the ideas of our wonderful contributors to go out and help us support the movement of bringing light to the subject of boarding school trauma.
Below you’ll find details of the bank account into which you can donate – please add as a reference the code BOI/2.

Thank you for reading this and for your support.
Warm regards,
Piers, Ben and Simon
